The biodiversity in Turkey flora and fauna is an important center in terms of biological resources. However, nature and agricultural ecosystems that host this rich biodiversity are under the pressure of invasive species. As a matter of fact, Convolvulus arvensis is one of the most important invasive weeds that must be controlled for the sustainability of agricultural production at the global level. Increasing use of herbicides with climate change in the agricultural ecosystem causes resistance in plants as well as some important problems such as environment and human health. This situation has increased the interest in alternative management strategies that do not disturb the ecological balance and provide control of invasive species. In this context, it is controlled by using some insect species belonging to the Chrysomelidae family, which are effective in the biological control of C. arvensis in different parts of the world. In this study, some insect species belonging to the Chrysomelidae family, which were identified in the ecosystem of Turkey and fed on C. arvensis, were investigated. As a result of the research, it was determined that 6 insect species belonging to the subfamily Chrysomelidae: Cassidiae feeding on C. arvensis were recorded in taxonomic studies carried out in different locations of our country. It has been reported that this insect species feeds on its host, C. arvensis, and undergoes different biological periods. As a result, since these species, which are widespread in our country, can be potential control agents in the biological control of C.arvensis, it will be important for agricultural production and ecosystem sustainability to carry out detailed field observations and efficiency tests, to protect and reproduce the species with promising results and to switch to control practices.
