dc.description.abstractThis study examines the origins of linguistic redundancy (linguistic redundancy, suffix accumulation, linguistic redundancy, word lengthening) and its use in Turkish literature. Linguistic redundancy is inherent in the language's natural structure and generally reinforces or emphasizes meaning. Linguistic redundancy is frequently used in literary works to increase the language's functionality and aesthetic value. In Turkish literature, especially poetry, linguistic prolongation appears as a tool poets use to strengthen emotional intensity and artistic expression. The study focuses on determining how linguistic prolongation is manifested in Turkish poetry. In this context, Turkish poetry is selected as the population, and Sabahattin Ali's “All Poems” and Küçük İskender's “Fairies Apologize When They Die” are analyzed as the sample. While Sabahattin Ali is known for his simple and impressive language in Turkish literature, Küçük İskender draws attention as a poet who pushes the boundaries of modern poetry and expands the limits of language. The document analysis method, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. This method, which allows in-depth analysis of the texts, aims to reveal the function and effect of linguistic extension in the poems subject to the survey. This study aims to emphasize the place and importance of linguistic extension in literary works and shed light on Turkish literature's linguistic richness.
dc.description.abstractBu çalışma, dilbilimsel uzatım dilsel fazlalık, söz uzatımı) kökenlerini ve Türk edebiyatındaki kullanımını derinlemesine incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Dil bilimsel uzatım, dilin doğal yapısında yer alan ve genellikle anlamı pekiştiren veya vurgulayan fazlalıklar olarak tanımlanabilir. Dilbilimsel uzatım, dilin işlevselliğini ve estetik değerini artırmak amacıyla edebi eserlerde sıkça kullanılmaktadır. Türk edebiyatında, özellikle şiirlerde, dilbilimsel uzatım, şairlerin duygusal yoğunluğu ve sanatsal ifadeyi güçlendirmek için başvurduğu bir araç olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Çalışmanın odak noktası, Türk şiirlerinde dilbilimsel uzatımın nasıl tezahür ettiğini saptamaktır. Bu bağlamda, çalışma materyali olarak Türk şiiri seçilmiş ve örneklem olarak Sabahattin Ali’nin “Bütün Şiirleri” ile Küçük İskender’in “Periler Ölürken Özür Diler” adlı eserleri incelenmiştir. Sabahattin Ali, Türk edebiyatında yalın ve etkileyici diliyle tanınırken, Küçük İskender, çağdaş şiirin sınırlarını zorlayan ve dilin sınırlarını genişleten bir şair olarak dikkat çekmektedir. Çalışmada, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden Döküman inceleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Metinlerin derinlemesine tahlil edilmesine imkân tanıyan bu yöntemle, dilbilimsel uzatımın çalışmaya konu şiirlerdeki işlevi ve etkisinin ortaya çıkarılması hedeflenmiştir. Bu çalışma, dilbilimsel uzatımın edebî eserlerdeki yerini ve önemini vurgulamayı, Türk edebiyatının dilsel zenginliğine de ışık tutmayı amaçlamaktadır.’
