Havayolu Taşımacılığının Ekonomik Büyüme Üzerine Etkisi: Kırılgan Beşli Örneği

Abstract

Ülkelerin iktisadi, sosyal ve kültürel ilerlemesini sağlayan endüstrilerden biri olan hava yolu taşımacılığı ülkeleri, kültürleri, insanları birbirine bağlamakta ve küresel pazar erişimini kolay hale getirmektedir. Bu yüzden ekonomik büyüme ile hava yolu taşımacılığı arasında bir ilişkinin olması beklenmektedir. Bu çalışmada hava yolu yolcu taşımacılığı ile ekonomik büyüme arasındaki ilişki 2005-2021 dönemi veri seti kullanılarak Kırılgan Beşli ülkeler için incelenmiştir. Driscoll –Kraay tahminci sonuçlarına göre ise hava yolu yolcu sayısının söz konusu dönemde Kırılgan Beşli ülkelerde ekonomik büyümeyi artırıcı yönde bir etkisi olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.

Air transportation, which is the main element of the transportation system, connects countries, cultures and people. The air transportation sector connects countries to the global economy by facilitating economic connections and trade, and helps countries' economic development. Therefore, it is expected that there is a relationship between economic growth and air transportation. Air transportation, which is a strategic sector, can play an important role in the economic development of developing countries. In this context, the relationship between air passenger transportation and economic growth was examined for the Fragile Five countries using the 2005-2021 period data set. According to the Driscoll-Kraay estimator results, it was concluded that the number of airline passengers had an increasing effect on economic growth in the Fragile Five countries in the said period
