MHD hybrid nanofluid flow via varying porous space amid two stretchable rotating disks: A numerical approach
(SAGE Publications, 2025-03-17) Danish Ali; Hakeem Ullah; Mehreen Fiza; Aasim Ullah Jan; Ali Akgül; A.S. Hendy; Seham M Al-Mekhlafi
This study investigates the thermal performance enhancement achievable through the utilization of hybrid nanofluids (HNF) in variable porous media subjected to Magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) effects in a Casson fluid with two stretchable rotating disks. In the present study, the titanium dioxide ((Formula presented.)) and silver ((Formula presented.)) nanoparticles are suspended in water, which served as the base fluid. The governing equations are derived using similarity transformations and solved numerically using the bvp4c method achieving convergence with an accuracy tolerance of (Formula presented.). The study explores the influence of variable porosity parameter, stretching parameters, Lorentz force, Casson parameter and Biot’s number on velocity, pressure, and temperature distributions. The findings reveal that axial velocity of the hybrid nanofluid increases with lower disk stretching and Casson parameters, while temperature declines with an increase in the variable porosity factor. The study also highlights that radial velocity variations depend significantly on disk stretching parameters, with opposing trends observed between the lower and upper disks. Enhanced thermal profiles are noted with increasing Biot numbers, whereas magnetic effects suppress tangential velocity. Moreover, the results reveal that hybrid nanofluids significantly enhance heat transfer rates compared to traditional nanofluids, with up to a 23% improvement observed for specific parameter settings. This work highlights the practical applicability of hybrid nanofluids in thermal management systems, such as cooling technologies in aerospace and energy systems. The high thermal conductivity of the Ag-TiO2 hybrid nanofluid makes it well-suited for cooling in microelectronic devices, where efficient heat dissipation is critical. Enhanced heat transfer properties are advantageous in solar collectors and geothermal systems, where maximizing energy efficiency through effective heat transport is essential. The model’s improved flow and thermal behaviors could contribute to efficient engine cooling, lubricant systems, and fuel cell performance, especially under high-performance and variable porosity conditions in aerospace and automobile industries.

New Optimum solutions of The Time-Fractional Fitzhugh-Nagumo Equations
(SCIK Publishing Corporation, 2025-06-26) T. Alzkari; Adil Khan; Mehreen Fiza; Hakeem Ullah; Aasim Ullah Jan; Ali Akgül; A.S. Hendy; Ilyas Khan; A. B. Albidah; Wei Sin Koh
The purpose and objective of the present work are to show the reliability and effectiveness of the newly developed semi-numerical method, i-e, the Optimal Auxiliary Function method OAFM, by solving the fractional problems of Fitzhugh-Nagumo. We have developed OAFM mathematical formulations for nonlinear partial differential equations PDEs. The implementation of the OAFM achieves a fast serial convergence solution. The analysis shows that the proposed method has a simplified implementation and needless computational work, is extremely accurate, and converges rapidly. Tables were constructed to compare the numerical results with the problems' exact solutions to see the errors.

Radiation and gyrotactic microorganisms in Walter-B nanofluid flow over a stretching sheet
(Elsevier BV, 2025-09) Muhammad Shaheen; Hakeem Ullah; Mehreen Fiza; Aasim Ullah Jan; Ali Akgül; A.S. Hendy; Samira Elaissi; Ilyas Khan; Mohsen Bakhori; N.F.M. Noor
The present study investigates the flow characteristics of both homogeneous and heterogeneous Walter-B nanofluids induced by a stretching sheet. Special attention is given to the effects of melting and magnetic fields on the flow behavior. The distribution of motile microorganisms is modeled using a microbial conservation equation, incorporating key parameters such as the Lewis number, Peclet number, and the microorganism difference parameter. The influence of thermal radiation and the heterogeneous reaction parameter is also considered. To facilitate the analysis, the governing partial differential equations are transformed into a set of ordinary differential equations using similarity transformations. A convergent series solution is then obtained through the application of the Homotopy Analysis Method (HAM). The study further explores the effects of various physical parameters, including the Prandtl number, magnetic field intensity, radiation, thermophoresis, Brownian motion, bioconvection, Peclet number, and the microorganism difference parameter. Results indicate that the velocity field decreases with an increase in the magnetic parameter, while the temperature profile diminishes with higher values of the radiation parameter. Furthermore, the concentration of microorganisms is observed to decline with increasing Lewis number.

Significance of nanoparticle diameter and inter-particle spacing in the oblique stagnation point flow over a convectively heated cylinder
(Elsevier BV, 2025-09) Fathea M.O. Birkea; Syed Arshad Abas; Hakeem Ullah; Mehreen Fiza; Aasim Ullah Jan; Samira Elaissi; Ali Akgül; A.S. Hendy; Ilyas Khan
Significance: Nanofluids have several applications in industry, engineering owing to their enhanced heat transmission capabilities. It has practical applications in several fields, such as healthcare, consumer goods, manufacturing, and the production of electrical components and batteries. Purpose: Considering these important applications, this study examines the two-dimensional incompressible stagnation point flow across a stretching cylinder utilizing a water-based fluid and alumina nanoparticles. This study significantly focuses on analyzing the effects of nanoparticle size and nanoparticle radius on the nanofluid, emphasizing its novel contribution. Furthermore, the effect of linear and nonlinear thermal radiation along with thermal convection condition is imposed to examine the heat transfer characteristics. Methodology: The mathematical model is converted into ordinary differential equations (ODEs) by similarity transformations, and the solutions are obtained numerically using a bvp4c technique. Findings: The effects of developing factors on the related profiles are quantitatively listed and visually through figures. The skin friction coefficient is enhanced with higher curvature and magnetic parameters. It is also noticed that the Nusselt number is larger for the heat source and Eckert number for both scenario of linear and nonlinear thermal radiation. Moreover, the velocity profiles decline against higher magnetic parameter while improving with curvature parameter for both nanoparticle radius and inter-particle spacing.
